In Astracordis, players take on
the roles of crew members who mediate diplomatic conflicts,
investigate anomalies, hunt down smugglers, or explore
unknown regions of space.
The Astracordis system uses 8,
10, and 12-sided dice, each for a different difficulty
level. A roll is successful if it is equal to or lower than
the character’s skill score.
On the naval board, players can
control space combat between ships, including their weapons,
stats, and positions, as well as allocate power to enhance
systems.
On the ground combat board,
players and enemies are managed to track their positions,
health, weapons, and other attributes.
Operations are groups of rolls
used to resolve complex situations. They come in various
types and offer tools to delve into the more peaceful game
systems, such as science or research.
The Game Master has access to
various tools, such as a character and board archive, room
creation to host sessions, a music player, and much more.
